Mall Astrophotography

The only planetaries that I've tried so far have been M1 (which worked pretty well) and M76 (which was a bit beyond my limit.) Since it's Summer, it only makes sense to try to capture two of the more showy ones.

Actually, I really only went out to get M57, but the sky was OK and the equipment was behaving itself, so I took a crack at M27, too.

Interestingly, I think it's worth noting that M27 was pretty disappointing visually, requiring averted vision to see it at all. I think that if I notice it being brighter on another night I'll try again.
